What Fruit Contains the Most Antioxidants?

Antioxidants minimize damage caused by free-radicals in your body.  If free radicals, agents in the body that weaken and destroy healthy tissue.  If free radicals are not eliminated they can overtake the body tissue and form tumors which can become malignant (cancerous).  Antioxidants helps prevent most chronic diseases including heart disease, cancer, arthritis, eye problems, dementia, and slows down aging.

The fruit with the highest amount of antioxidants and should probably be eaten on a daily basis is blueberries.  Most fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants so make sure you have at least 5 and preferrably 7-10 every day in an assortment of colours.  I eat fresh blueberries all summer and frozen in the winter.  Fresh blueberries go great with plain yogurt (organic or hormone-free) and fresh or frozen work well in smoothies, cereal, and in or on blueberry pancakes.   Try my  wheat-free blueberry pancakes for a healthy breakfast.   Have with a glass of non-dairy milk and/or organic turkey or vegan bacon for protein.  :)
