FRIES AND A DRINK: MCDONALD'S VERSUS HOMEMADE

MCDONALD'S

Ingredients in French Fries:

Potatoes (likely GMO potatoes)
Vegetable oil (Canola, hydrogenated soybean oil)
Natural beef flavor (wheat and milk derivatives)
Citric acid
Dextrose  (usually from GMO corn)
Sodium acid pyrophosphate to maintain color 
Salt
TBHQ (chemical preservative)
Dimethylpolysiloxane, an anti-foaming agent (a component of silicone-based lubricants that may contain formaldehyde)
 

Deep-fried in hydrogenated oils


Ingredients in Diet Coke (fountain):

Water
Caramel color (has 4=MEL, a possible carcinogen)
Phosphoric acid (linked to lower bone density)
Aspartame (neurotoxin)
Sodium saccharin (neurotoxin)
Potassium benzoate, to protect taste (chemical preservative)
Citric acid
Caffeine
Potassium citrate

HOMEMADE

Ingredients of my French Fries:

Organic non-GMO potatoes
Olive oil
Sea salt 
Garlic powder


Baked in the oven

Ingredients in my smoothie:

Berries (blueberries, strawberries, and/or raspberries)
Bananas
Tablespoon of peanut or almond butter
